Lifetime Care Package

BY LIME is honored to be part of a special time in your life. We have curated a lifetime care package to keep your engagement rings, wedding bands and fine jewelry in perfect condition.

We stand behind everything that we sell and guarantee all of our jewelry pieces to be free of any defects for one calendar year from the date of purchase. Any defects include clasp breakage, missing pave stones (0.02ct and under), chain detachment from a solder point, loose diamonds or loose prongs. However, certain defects such as general wear and tear, scratching, stretched chains and rings, lost jewelry, or jewelry damaged due to improper use, cleaning or storage are not included. BY LIME’s warranty applies to www.BYLIME.com online and in-store purchases. Any third-party or outside jeweler altering your jewelry will void your warranty with BY LIME.

Engagement Rings & Wedding Bands

BY LIME guarantees all engagement rings and wedding bands to be free of any material defects. If you believe your ring has a defect, you are able to send it back to us at any time for inspection where we will repair or replace your ring as deemed appropriate. Material defects include missing pave stones (stones under 0.02ct), and loose prongs. As each ring is made-to-order and hand-crafted specifically for you, slight variations in each ring are to be expected and are not viewed as a defect. If the damage is deemed outside of a material defect, we will always let you know the price of any repairs before beginning any work on the ring.

This warranty does not apply to the replacement of a center stone, or any stone larger than 0.02ct. Material defects do not include general wear and tear, scratching, discoloration due to contact with harsh chemicals, warped rings, or lost rings. We stand behind all our designs and our jewelers, therefore, any third-party or outside jeweler altering your jewelry will void your warranty with us. The only exception is if you are purchasing outside of the United States and need a third-party jeweler to resize your ring.

To be eligible for the warranty:

Please make sure your rings and diamonds have not been exposed to unreasonable force or harmful conditions. All rings should have been stored and handled correctly. Any abused, altered or incorrectly cleaned rings are not eligible for any repairs within the warranty. Additionally, all rings need to be in the possession of the original purchaser, as this warranty is not transferable. Diamond Warranty

We stand behind our products and warrant their graded characteristics through the following full legal guarantee and warranty. In the unlikely case that your diamond does not meet or exceed a 4C grade stated in this Certificate, BY LIME shall, at its option, accept the return of the diamond and provide you with a refund of the full purchase price or replace the diamond with a diamond that meets or exceeds each of the characteristics warranted. Please note, diamonds sold as part of jewelry may not have individual unique certificates.

If you make a claim under this warranty, you must allow BY LIME to examine the original copy of the Certificate. We will try to resolve your claim amicably by inspecting the jewelry and any gemological evaluation on which you base your claim. We may remove the diamond from the jewelry for gemological examination. Diamonds must be graded as loose stones by an internationally recognized diamond grading laboratory. The condition of the diamond will be determined by examination under no greater than 10x magnification and by standard gemological techniques. The accuracy of angles and linear measurements will be determined by the following tolerances: ±0.2º and ±0.02 millimeters.

This warranty remains in effect in perpetuity with the original purchase proof. It covers the lack of conformity of the diamond with the 4C grades stated on this certificate at the time of sale. It does not cover any damage to the diamond that occurs after delivery including normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, consequential or incidental damages provided or allowed by insurance coverage. This warranty is not transferable and only applies to the original purchaser of the product. Although this warranty gives you specific legal rights; it does not, in any way, affect the rights given to you by law.

Diamond Upgrades

For a diamond set in a BY LIME engagement ring:

Any certified solitaire diamond purchased in a BY LIME engagement ring (0.75ct and above) is eligible for an upgrade for the lifetime of the original purchaser. We guarantee the value of your BY LIME engagement diamond ring, which can be returned for credit equivalent to the original purchase price for any purchase of diamonds (1/4ct+) on www.BYLIME.com, which is at least fifty percent greater in value. This credit does not include the price of your setting, duty/tax paid on the diamond or shipping costs, and is non-transferable. All applicable duties and taxes will be charged on the full retail price of your new purchase before any credit is applied. Your purchase is a final sale, and cannot be returned. To be eligible for the Diamond Upgrade, your diamond must be in its original condition with the original purchase receipt and diamond certificate. Any damage to the original diamond may disqualify the diamond from this program.

Once the diamond has been verified and inspected, the original setting will be returned to you. Please note, your setting is non-refundable, and if you choose to purchase another BY LIME engagement ring, a new setting will need to be purchased, as each setting is made-to-order based on the diamond's specific measurements. For loose diamonds:


 

 

For your loose diamond purchased through www.BYLIME.com is set in a design crafted by a third-party jeweler, you must unmount your stone prior to sending it back. If your loose diamond was set in a BY LIME engagement ring, your setting will be returned to you once the diamond is unmounted and verified. Please note, your setting is non-refundable, and if you choose to purchase another BY LIME engagement ring, a new setting will need to be purchased, as each setting is made-to-order based on the diamond's specific measurements.

Additionally, any loose diamond purchased from www.BYLIME.com (0.75ct ct and above) is eligible for an upgrade for the lifetime of the original purchaser. We guarantee the value of your diamond, which can be returned for credit equivalent to the original purchase price for any purchase of diamonds (1/4ct+) on www.BYLIME.com, which is at least fifty percent greater in value.
